Lula and Bolsonaro stage final campaign rallies in São Paulo before Brazil's tight presidential election
Source Summary
Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and challenger Flavio Bolsonaro concluded their campaigns on Saturday in São Paulo, home to one-fifth of the nation's voters. Both candidates held final rallies to mobilize supporters and reach undecided voters ahead of Sunday's closely contested presidential election.
Why it matters
São Paulo's concentration of one-fifth of Brazil's electorate makes the state's final campaign push critical to determining the outcome of a closely contested presidential race.
