Python named Jodie Foster becomes first snake to receive pioneering electrochemotherapy for cancer
Source Summary
A 23-year-old reticulated python named Jodie Foster at Chester Zoo has become the first snake in the world to receive electrochemotherapy, a pioneering cancer treatment normally used on humans. The 15ft, 50kg python was treated for a tumour in her jaw after keepers noticed she was eating less and spending more time inactive. She has since returned to her usual behaviour.
