Source Summary

The U.S. Energy Information Administration projects US natural gas production will reach 111.7 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in 2026, rising to 115.9 bcfd by 2027, compared to 107.6 bcfd in 2025. Domestic consumption is also expected to reach record levels, rising from 91.9 bcfd in 2025 to 111.7 bcfd in 2026 and 115.9 bcfd in 2027.
