Zelenskyy accuses Trump of betrayal over Starlink access restrictions
Source Summary
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he feels personally betrayed by Donald Trump after Ukraine's military access to Elon Musk's Starlink satellite service was restricted. Zelenskyy, speaking during a visit to London, accused Trump of siding against Ukraine after more than four years of war, citing concerns about long-term US support for Kyiv. The accusation comes amid broader strain in US-Ukraine relations, including the US agreement to purchase diesel from Moscow.
Why it matters
Starlink access is critical to Ukraine's military communications and operations, so restrictions on its use directly affect Ukraine's capacity to conduct warfare and coordinate defense during an ongoing conflict.
What remains uncertain
The source does not specify the extent, duration, or stated reason for the Starlink access restrictions, or confirm whether Trump directly ordered the limitation.
